Ha, yup, I git a lotta bemused looks myself at times (a few from my own kids!) fer some'a my music faves but I agree--Tiny was a genius! I'll betcha yer right about him not trustin' the clot shots had he been around now--he was wired differently, not one to foller' any leader. We need more singular talents like that 'stead o' what goes fer "music" today (with some exceptions but not many...). We're all lucky ducks to have a lexicon've all the incredible music from the 20th c! Let's hope THEY don't erase that part of his'try--too many absurdly canceled already.
BTW, I too gave a nod to Tiny back in August (scroll down on this one, link is at the end):
Yes of course! I saw that post! Just couldn't remember whose post it was?! Yes... I'm absolutely certain Tiny wouldn't have fallen for any of this malarkey. But quite ironically... every single member of his Australian "art circle" entourage... (many of whom were 'directly involved' with the various "Tiny projects" I myself worked on... along with a couple who'd written several published biographical works on him) have fallen for it 100% hook line and sinker! They're boosting and masking... the whole lot! They absolutely love their captivity- the medical tyranny- the fascistic rules and regulations... every single bit of it! Much like the LA Hollywood set I guess..?

Brilliant! This warn't on my radar (glad to know it!) but Daisy here's always been a HUGE Tiny fan--all his incarnations (and tarnations!) I love that he was fearless--tried everything--like the polka-punk stuff with Brave Combo (their Stairway to Heaven's a hoot!), horror movies--the baritone falsetto range, and of course making the Uke awesome again etc. A friend'a mine that worked with him on somethin' r' other back in the 90s said he was really nice but had some form of OCD (hand washing or some related obsession?). The man broke the mold an' if I'm correct, he went out "singin'" too--I believe he died onstage, trooper 'til the end. (Apt song choice now that we're all really livin' day-to-day on the Eve of Destruction... ) Long Live Tiny!
PS imo he wasn't a freak show--we statesiders gotta REAL Freak Show in the White House. Tiny's an old pro Music Hall feller that decided to take some wild risks (but he had musical chops unlike a lotta 21st c bozo's cain't play 'r sing fer nuttin')
Great stuff! I’m not too surprised you’re a Tiny Tim fan… (it’s the vibe), good on ya! Yes, I thought Tiny was an absolute bloody genius! A lot of people laugh when I say that… at the very least throw me a bemused look. He was seriously misunderstood. And yes… he died on stage whilst (unbelievably) singing the very song that made him famous! As for obsessions… he had a million of them. If he were alive today, I’m sure he’d say… “Mr John, you don’t want to be taking no mRNA shots! It’s the work of the devil!”
Not in my collection for some inexplicable reason?
WEF won't stop until they get a really gullible puppet (Billionaire) Prime Minister in 10 Downing Steet!
LIABILITY MUST be reintroduced for DEADLY Covid VAX = COMMON SENSE and cessation of De-Population. My money's on devious self-fulfilling 'slippery' Sunak!
It was really hard to tell to be honest. From my observations… he was incredibly intelligent, quick witted and passionate about everything to do with the human experience. I think to a great extent he largely capitalised on his ‘being misunderstood.’
This Laurie from Ray Horvath's Substack. What a delightful memory from an earlier time in your life! Thank-you for sharing....l wonder if we are the last generation that will have these incredible & interesting experiences to reminisce about.....it seems like the only thing that can possibly happen to young folks these days are dark & evil experiences.
I am being negative l know. But l wonder....do the young folks today enjoy a beautiful sunset, a kiss from a puppy, the sight of a beautiful flower? It seems they are always glued to the black mirror of their cell phones! Or playing sick video games. They don't seem to live in the "real world".
Well, l sure enjoyed your post today. Hope all is as well as can be expected in your spot of the world!
Thanks Laurie. Yes, you make some great observations. It certainly is a different time now, and I truly feel for those younger folks who.. despite the cold, digitised nonsensical commercially driven world they’ve been handed…have somehow managed to keep warm blood, passion and curiosity pumping through their veins. I’m glad you enjoyed my post, as I know there are a lot of people who just thought of Tiny Tim as though he were a walking freak show.. which to a large extent, I guess he was. I don’t think the world will ever see someone quite like him again. I don’t think it’s possible actually. As for Australia, well… it’s complicated. Let’s just put it that way for now.

Talk about singular thinkers!

Mick from Hooe (UK) Unjabbed to live longer.
So, how much of Tiny Tim's persona, his schtick, was a put-on, and how much was genuine? He certainly presented as a very odd person.
